The MetFilm School Voices that Matter Scholarship Scheme is aimed at promoting accessibility, diversity and inclusion and is particularly targeted at those who possess a demonstrable passion and talent for the screen industries.
We aim to provide an opportunity for exceptional students who, without financial assistance, would be unable to participate on selected programmes.
Recognising the importance of accessibility, diversity and inclusion within the screen industries, MetFilm School offers three Voices That Matter Scholarships* per year:
- Women in the Screen Industries, supported by MTV Staying Alive Foundation – one scholarship per campus: one in London, one in Berlin, and one in Leeds.
- Supporting a Black Student of Talent in memory of Dan Demissie – one scholarship per year, either in London, Berlin, or Leeds.
The award will cover full tuition fees for the selected programme of study, either at undergraduate or postgraduate level, and is assessed on the basis of financial need as well as talent and achievement in the screen industries.
The awards do not include costs towards accommodation, expenses or additional mentoring and coaching. Students who are awarded these scholarships will need to support themselves during the duration of the courses they are studying.
