Why Study in London?

Why Study in London?

The Centre of Industry

London has been the key location for world-famous Oscar winning movies including The Iron Lady and The King’s Speech. The independent television sector is also responsible for some of the most iconic and groundbreaking television formats seen around the world, from The X-Factor and Who Wants to be a Millionaire? to scripted dramas like Sherlock, Downton Abbey, Bridgerton and The Crown.

A Thriving Film Community

London hosts over 50 film festivals annually, as well as boasting some of the world’s most vibrant art-house cinema scenes, and a huge range of resources through the British Film Institute, Cinema Museum, and Kubrick Archives.

Employment Opportunities

The capital is also a great place to find work in the screen industries, with the UK’s largest film studios based either within or in easy reach of London. These include Warner Bro’s Leavesden, Pinewood, Ealing, Garden, Shepperton, Longcross, Elstree, and 3 Mills Studios.

A Diverse City

Being a student in London will allow you to experience one of the most diverse cities in the world, where more than 300 languages are spoken, and a wealth of different cultures and communities live side by side.

Queen of the Suburbs

Ealing is a beautiful area, with something to offer everyone. Home to Ealing Summer Festivals of blues, jazz, comedy, and cuisine, as well as a new cinema, the Ealing Project, it is also one of London’s greenest boroughs, with Ealing Studios overlooking Walpole Park – 28 acres of treelined walkways and playgrounds, and the Royal Botanic Gardens, London’s largest UNESCO World Heritage Site, only a short bus ride away.

Excellent Transport Links

London is an extremely well-connected city, thanks to the Transport for London network, and reaching Ealing in particular is easier than ever with the newly opened Elizabeth Line! The borough is also 25 minutes from Oxford Circus on the Central Line, and 10 minutes from Paddington Station.
