Four-Week Filmmaking

Four-Week Filmmaking

KEY FACTS

Four-Week Filmmaking offers a comprehensive range of screen creative skills, allowing students to explore the processes of visual storytelling whilst working with actors, interpreting scripts, devising narrative storylines and developing a deeper understanding of the technical aspects of film production. Industry professional tutors will acts as mentors throughout and students will also be given vital support and guidance on how to establish themselves in this vibrant and competitive industry.

OUR GRADUATES

Students from our short courses have gone on to carve out their own success.  Shortly after graduating from our Part-Time Filmmaking course, Marcus Markou wrote, directed and produced his first feature film Papadopoulos & Sons.  He released it in the UK himself in April 2013, with it grossing £40K in it’s opening weekend and has recently been acquired by the BBC.  Find out more here.

Chika Anadu is a graduate of this Four-Week Directing course and has achieved phenomenal success with her debut feature film B for Boy, which has it’s world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival in 2013, and has since gone on to win Best Film in an African Language at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2014.  Watch the trailer for the film here.
